What Is the Chef Incubator?
The Somthin Different Chef Incubator is the heart of the concept. It is designed for people who have talent, passion, and ideas — but may not have the money, building, staff, or platform required to open a restaurant of their own.
Instead of asking aspiring chefs to build an entire restaurant, Somthin Different gives them a focused opportunity: create one strong dish, serve real guests, receive feedback, and begin building a reputation.

How It Works
- Chefs apply to join the Founding Chef Network.
- Selected chefs submit one menu idea at least 7 days in advance.
- Somthin Different provides approved ingredients, kitchen access, and guest traffic.
- Each chef presents one signature selection during their scheduled service period.
- Guests taste, review, and help identify standout talent.
Why It Matters
Many talented people never get discovered because opportunity is expensive. A restaurant can require major capital, real estate, staffing, permits, marketing, equipment, and risk. The Chef Incubator lowers that barrier by giving culinary creators a stage without requiring them to take that leap alone.
